VBS MEETING - Wednesday, April 22, 6:30 PM. Everyone who would like to volunteer should attend.

  • There is a signup sheet on the front table if you would like to help with VBS. Please include your phone number, and where you would like to serve.

CHURCH NOTES:


BEVERAGES - The only beverage permitted in the sanctuary is water if necessary. Thank you for taking care of His sanctuary.


SECURITY - For protection of the congregation, all the exterior doors, except the double doors at the rear of the sanctuary, will be locked at 10:00 AM.


LOOKING AHEAD IN OUR CALENDAR:


SEASONED SAINTS MOTHER’S DAY BANQUET - May 11, 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Center. (Men are invited as well.) This is a catered meal so we need a count. Please R.S.V.P. by Sunday, April 26 (next Sunday). Sign up on the signup sheet on the front table, see Kathy Alexander or call her at 717-513-5149.


GIGS (Ladies Fellowship) - Thursday, May 14, 6:00 PM (note the time change). Please join us to watch the movie “War Room” while enjoying a pot luck meal. Bring a dish to share. All women are invited.


ANNOUNCEMENT:


HOMETOWN HERO'S BREAKFAST - Honoring our firefighters, police, medical workers, vets and all hometown heroes - Saturday, May 2, 8:00 - 10:00 AM at the Dream Center, 204 1st Avenue, Burnham, PA 17009 (the site of the former Burnham Hardware). All heroes are Welcome! This breakfast is free but donations are accepted. See Tim Alexander or Pastor Shane if you have questions.


CHURCH RELATED INFORMATION:


JUNIOR YOUTH FELLOWSHIP - We are planning a Junior Youth Fellowship for grades 7 and 8. If you are interested in leading or helping with this, see Pastor Kurtis or Pastor Shane. We need at least two or three people to volunteer.


SCARFS FOR THE “OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES” PROJECT - If anyone is interested in learning how to crochet or knit, or if you already know how and would like to join our project to make scarfs for Operation Christmas Child Boxes, please sign up on the signup sheet on the front table. See Joyce Rupert if you have questions.


CENTRE UNION CHURCH SPRING/SUMMER DIRECTORY - All who regularly attend our church are welcome to be included in the Directory. If you, or your family’s contact information is not in the directory, or needs to be updated, please fill out the Church Directory Information form that is in the document holder above the front table. Put the completed form in the Directory Update folder above the front table, give it to Johnette Jones, OR use the QR code on the form to update your information.

HOW TO SUBMIT PRAYER REQUESTS
Go to our church’s website, click on
“Prayer Requests & Praises”, fill out the form, and submit the prayer request. When the prayer request is no longer needed, request its removal on the same web page.


HELPING HANDS MINISTRY
This ministry provides a meal for those in our church who have returned home from being hospitalized. If you would like to volunteer to provide a meal for someone, see
Lisa Baitsell or contact her at 717-242-1410


CENTRE UNION CHURCH DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
If you would like to learn what our church believes based on the Bible, pick up a copy from the front table. Also, this is a good document to give to someone so that they know what our church believes.


WE HAVE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES FOR ALL AGES
If you, or your children, are not currently attending Sunday School and would like to do so, there is information at each entrance to the sanctuary with the teachers’ names and room numbers.
